[sci.electronics] Sinclair MicroVision TV

braun@m10ux.UUCP (06/22/87)

I was recently given a screwed up Sinclair MicroVision TV.
These things were a big deal 9 or so years ago.
It is a TV about 2x4x6 inches, with a electrostatically-
deflected CRT.

I need to find a replacement for one of the IC's on the main board.
It is a 16-pin DIP, labeled "ST3 01 03", and made by TI.
I assume is is a custom part for Sinclair.

Does anyone (especially you people in the UK) know if it is possible
to get parts for this TV? I think Sinclair is out of business,
but there might be some user's group, etc.
Any idea of places I might contact in England?

About 3 years ago the Binatone company bought out Sinclars rights
to the TV . You could try them for parts , if you have a part number they can
probably get it. I also have one of these TVs but it gives no sound , HELP!
