[sci.electronics] Realy Board for IBM

wtm@neoucom.UUCP (Bill Mayhew) (07/23/87)

This is in response to a querry from doris@milw.wisc.edu, whom our
mailer can't find. I suppose it's timely enough for the rest of
the net too.

Mendelson Electronics in Dayton, Ohio (phone 513-461-3525) has a
supply of IBM brand interface boards and connector panels.
Presumably these should work in the PeeCee and clones there of.

The board as a number of realy inputs and outputs as well as a
number of medium speed analog I/O connections. They sell the board
with the connector panel for $195, which makes it pretty
competative with building your own interface card. Software is NOT
included, but if you insist, you can by software from IBM for the
board.

For further detials, see the advertisement on page 217 of the
August '87 issue of "Computer Shopper". I don't have one of these
boards myself, but I've seen it in operation elsewhere and it looks
alright. Of course, I don't work for or own an interest in
Mendelson. I haven't heard any comments on their level of customer
satisfaction, either good or bad.
