[sci.electronics] Looking for Custom Power

kunert@nicmad.UUCP (Dick Kunert) (10/24/87)

I have a six channel electronic power supply load (model CPEL 150-6F)
in my office, which was made by a company called Custom Power in
Beaverton, OR. It is essentially a large, heavy (100 lb.) black
box containing six variable loads, a variac and some metering.

Last week it flamed out on me (literally!). I need to replace a
transformer which looks like it provided power for the control
circuits; it has something like eight secondary windings, and I can't
seem to place the manufacturer; I suspect Custom Power built it
themselves. Unfortunately, Beaverton information has never heard of
them and I suspect they may be out of business.

If need be, I can have one of our transformer vendors tear it apart
and rewind it, but I would rather just replace it - if anyone has
any leads to Custom Power I would appreciate hearing about it.

Also (major longshot here), if anyone happens to have schematics for
this beast, I would like to arrange to get copies.

Thanks...
