I am interested in schemes to convert NTSC stuff to PAL. I know that professional companies to do this exist but I do not not how they do it. I have access to fairly sophisticated Video Equipment and would if possible, like to figure out a scheme. I would appreciate if some one out there could point me out to the correct literature or give me pointers. Thanks Deven

The method is fairly simple, but for the time being fairly expensive. What is done, is the incoming signal is digitized and stored in high speed, dual ported video ram, then on the output side the ram is read and converted into either the PAL or NTSC signal you require. Just remember easier said than done. The problem also arises in that scan rates differ between NTSC and PAL, and the number of scan lines also differ. -- Taras Pryjma uucp: taras@gpu.utcs bitnet: tpryjma@utoronto Bell: +1 (416) 536-2821 Fear is never boring. hmmm. hmmmm.
