[sci.electronics] Hamilton-Avnet

A few years ago, I indulged in a passing interest by buying some
Hewlett-Packard "ultrabright" LEDs. These are pretty impressive...
they're bright enough to leave after-images. Anyhow, I found that
Hamilton-Avnet was HP's nearest distributor, called them, and asked
about price/availability/minimum-order. To sum it up: about $1.50 per
LED; available within 1 week on a "will call window" basis; minimum
order was ->1<- LED!

I imagine that H/A may have a hefty minimum order if you want to order
by mail, but their local office was quite willing to sell me a single
component if I came to their "will-call" window during open hours
(3 hours AM, 3 hours PM).

If you're interested in the blue LED's, I'd suggest phoning H/A with
the part number (posted here last week, I believe?) and ask them.
