All I know is that there are two non- overlapping clocks, two enables, one operation control line, and four data bits. Also, VDD seems to be -5 volts, not +5 volts. A lot happens on this port during keyboard input, program execution, etc., so I assume that it is not just a peripheral port, but a direct connection to the computer's internal bus. Also, it's very easy to load the port so that the PC stops operating. I did this when I was trying some pull-up resistors to determine when the lines become tri-stated. If anyone finds out any more about this beast, please post it, or drop me some e-mail. Thanks. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ________ /_______/| __________________________ | ||----->/ / Ag Primatic | ||<----/_________________________/ ag@floyd.ATT.com |_______|/ / / / / / / / / / / / /oooooooo/ /_________________________/ /oooooooo/ --------- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
