I am interested in obtaining orbital data for the RS 10/11 Soviet satellite. I've been watching for it, but perhaps I've missed it. If someone would like to post it or email me, I'd appreciate it. It is also known as Cosmos 1861. All I have is that it is roughly inclined 26 degrees (I think) and orbits take roughly 104 minutes (nearly circular too I think). I'd like to get more precise on this. I've last heared the beacon on 29.407 Mhz at Dec 13/88 1335z and due to fading I suspect it was just going over my horizon. My interest in this satellite comes from an economic point of view. With existing HF gear and <= 50 Watts up link, and without directional antennas, I can have some fun here. Also, if anyone can volunteer a Basic program (yuk, for my yuk, VIC 20 :-) or even better a C program, for tracking this sucker, that will be most appreciated. Even perhaps just a list of major formulas used in the computations. -- 73s de VE3WWG (Warren)..............LSI represents Large Scale Investment, .................transistors are "discrete", but tubes are just plain fun. ................Bramalea Software Systems Inc...!utgpu!telly \ !brambo!wwg ...................!{uunet!mnetor, watmath!utai}!lsuc!ncrcan /
