Are there enough laser enthusiasts out there to warrant creating another group? Like for discussing lightshow issues, CDRH variancing, power supply design, optics, where to get cheap parts, etc? Or am I only one of a very few people that spends any time on this sort of thing? _H*

If you want to talk about it, start talking. The rest of us will tell you when the traffic has gotten voluminous enough and annoying enough to justify a new group. There is no need for a new group until there are messages to go in it. -- SunOSish, adj: requiring | Henry Spencer at U of Toronto Zoology 32-bit bug numbers. | uunet!attcan!utzoo!henry henry@zoo.toronto.edu

I do have Laser show question for anyone to answer. I worked on a laser show some time ago, and the only economical way I could come up with to make one was with two 8 inch bass speakers with control rods moving a mirror. Each speaker controlled one dimension, one did X, and one did Y. Now, I see that someone (Fordham I think) is selling a laser light show for $90.00. How are they able to package a laser and the controls into a cheap setup like this? And, more important to me, How are they bending the beam? Are they using a mirror or Kerr cells or what? I am burning up with curiosity about this..., any help is greatly appreciated! Greg Garner 501-442-4847 USENET: ...!uunet!harris.cis.ksu.edu!hcx!gmg

What I know about is. delayed key-switch (min delay ???) built in power supply. mechanical shutter. on indicator. What else??
