We am trying to collect information regarding software packages which run under 4.1 Berkeley or v6 Unix and provide accounting information similar to DEC's VMS accounting package, PACS (Process Accounting and Chargeback System). This package provides information by customer (this may be several users) regarding login history, resource utilization (volume mounts, print jobs processed), disk space utilization. It also reports cpu utilization, and i/o (buffered and direct), in prime time, non-prime time, and batch categories. It provides this information in the form of invoices which can be sent to the customer, and summarizes all users for management purposes. The package can be run at user-determined intervals, and information collected over multiple intervals for summarization.
