I'm planning to turn an old z80-based computer to some kind of a synthetisiser. However I haven't been able to get any good (also cheap) chips for that. I wonder if anyone has any suggestions for this problem. It doesn't have to be a single chip, although I'd prefer one (no tuning necessary(I don't have access to a frequency counter)).
