Another approach to simulators has been putting two small screens in the pilot's goggles, one for each eye. The system tracks EVERY movement of the pilot's head, and modifies the scene in the goggles accordingly. I've read it described as very realistic (even though it was a wireframe image, the movement tracked very well), and the only problem was not a lag in response (as I would have expected), but the weight of the helmet (which is a tech. problem). Combine that with Showscan, and you wouldn't need a hemisphere at all. Charl Phillips San Diego, CA
