[sci.electronics] Semiconductor technology with fault tolerance features built-in

tac@sei.cmu.edu (Timothy Coddington) (02/11/89)

I'm in the process of gathering information on integrated circuit
technology that has been designed to support fault tolerance.

For example, there are several microprocessors out on the market that
have been designed with some fault tolerance features (ie Intel 80960MC)
built-in, either through the instruction set architecture, explicit
   functionality, or external support logic.

I would appreciate any information (device, device family, manufacturer,
address, phone, articles, and/or contacts) that will lead me to this
   kind of technology.

Please mail or call (412) 268-7712
