> Does any one have any favorite circuits to build things on the list or does > any one want to add to the list or want to add to the list? More ideas for projects (some not so simple): 60kHz receiver with loop antenna to pick up WWVB and phase compare to your local frequency standard. Multiple antenna interferometric receiver setup for radio astronomy (could be UHF or VHF for simplicity). Jupiter, I understand, is a relatively simple target. X band Gunn diode oscillator frequency modulated to make simple radar for displaying local weather on Plan Position Indicator Doppler radar for measuring the speed of passing cars. (My 11th grade science project was one of these. Interesting.) Optical communications link using visible/IR LEDs for short range or laser diodes for longer range. Simplest would be to transmit audio, more challenging would be to transmit RS-232 computer data or video. Could investigate error detection/correction algorithms and hardware. Low power, unlicensed (see Part 15) VLF communications system with loop antennas. Seismograph. Passive IR alarm system.
