If anyone objects to these postings, let me know by email. My only purpose in distributing these observations is to hopefully stir up some interest in satellites-- especially those who, like me, only own HF gear at the present time. RS10/11 and OSCAR-9 are good satellites to tune in on using HF. There are probably others. RS-10/11 is workable from 15 meters-- giving the HFer a chance to "test drive" satellite communication, before jumping in with wallet, er I mean, both feet :-). If there are errors, please feel free to email me. The interpretation of the telemetry is based upon old information-- ie: that of prelaunch information for RS-03 thru RS-08. There are "?" where new signals are used. Some of the decoded signals below, might not be correctly interpreted, if the formulas have changed for RS-10/11. I have listened here occasionally. My equipment here is an R7000 and scanner beam antenna, not the greatest for this band but... My question is why is it RS-10/11? I think my AMSAT reference card lists them separately. Are there 2 birds in the same orbit (they launch many together, maybe these are too close together)? Is it some kind of dual transponder/robot combo? Just curious...
