Greetings Netfolk
I'd like to thank all of those kind folks out there who helped out in
my search for dummy loads. However, now I'm in search of something that is not
quite electronic but is (supposedly) often seen.
Where does one obtain the 'carpet' used to house automotive speaker
enclosures. Is the often grey/charcoal material really 'carpet'? If so, then
is it available at your local carpet store? The material I've seen appears to
be much thinner then your generic indoor "plush" carpet. I'd like to use this
material to cover a wooden housing I'm assembling as an enclosure for some
audio equipment on the floor of the trunk. (whew! what a sentence)
Again, thanks in advance for your advice!
Cliff Yamamoto

A good source for large 8 ohm resistors is your local suplus electronics store. I got an 8 ohm 220 watt resistor for $1. They were mostly into computor stuff at this store and didn't realize what they could have gotten for it.
