[sci.electronics] Motorola mc2833 FM Transmitter chip

Robert.Hammack@f404.n387.z1.ANGEL.UCM.ORG (Robert Hammack) (04/17/89)

I'm trying to develop a low-power fm transmitter using the MC2833, but
motorola has yet to publish the complete specs- if anyone has looked at
or used this chip, I'd appreciate any information you may have on your
application and any problems to watch out for. I'm especially
interested in any curcuits to allow tuning over the comercial FM band
any Input would be greatly appriciated! VOX (512) 349-2042

The MC2833 works fine. I have about 10 left out of a batch of 100 and
not one of them was bad. (These are the surface mount style to boot!)
You can find adequate documentation on the '33 in the newer Motorolla
"LINEAR AND INTERFACE I.C.'s" (DL128)
Like the man says though; they really don't like to be mistreated circuit
wise.
