For the person looking for a device from which he can monitor his home from a remote location, with a microphone: I have a panasonic answering machine (KT-1843???) that retails for about $90. Among its numerous features, it has a remote listen feature which allows you (from a remote touch tone) to turn on its microphone. You can then hear any noise from the room the answering machine is located in. regards, joec@morgan.com

Heathkit has such a device that sells for about $100. You can call your home and listen via microphone. It will also report home temperature, and several other "alarms". I believe it will also call a predetermined phone number if a "flagged condition" occurs. Check their most recent catalog. It's in there. Barry
