I'm going out of my mind. For months I've been trying to build a simple opti-isolater circuit. I've seen it hundreds of times in books. It goes something like this. ||||||||||||| |----####---- +5 <--- ######---|1 6|---#######------| load r=100 | moc3010 | r=180 Triac AC120 GND -------------|2 4|--------------/ | | | |------------ ||||||||||||| Please help, Is there something wrong with the above? The load I've been using is a 100W bulb. The Triac is a 400V, 6amp (RS 276-1000); I've tried many other triacs also, with no better luck. Pin 4 goes to the triac gate. If you've made a simular circuit work, could you let me in on it? I'm getting a little desparate. My only requirement is TTL compatiblity and no relays or solid state relays. Please E-Mail, but I'll keep an eye on the newgroup also. Thanks in advance Bill
