[sci.electronics] MB 8877 A <-- datasheet wanted

fifi@cosmo.UUCP (A.F.Zinser) (09/07/89)

Can anybody out there tell me *anything* about this chip. I've found
it inside a TATUNG TP2000 - instead a WD1793! It seems as if there is
no complete compatibity... Who knows the manufacturer, has a datasheet
or can help another way?
                             F
That's printed on it: MB 8877A
                             8322 Z00

Thanks in advance, A.Zinser

It *is* a 1793. From your chip-stamp, it looks like its made (2nd sourced?)
by Fairchild. I remember using them when I fixed CP/M computers. They were
cheaper, I believe.
