The power supply on my Mac Plus is in a near-term failure mode. It seems to loose all power occasionally (like a power hit), causing the screen to shrink and blink off and the system to reset. Since it's out of warranty, I thought I'd see if I could find the guilty component my self. The part number I didn't find an equivalent for is Q11: "NEC C2335 L31B", which seems to be a high voltage power transistor or SCR on a heat sink. Does anyone know the equivalent for this? Does anyone know which parts fail commonly in this power supply (besides the flyback transformer)? -- Craig Ruff NCAR cruff@ncar.ucar.edu (303) 497-1211 P.O. Box 3000 Boulder, CO 80307
