eddie stokes from n. carolina seems surprised that bela fleck should be invited to "an onstage jam session" at the telluride festival here in colorado. since they are usually one of the top 2-3 professional bands to play there (Monroe and Hot Rize, sometimes Peter Rowan), that's like saying wow, Jerry Garcia is so good on the guitar that he was invited to jam with all these other guys at this rock festival... p.s., the list of bands at the Adams County bluegrass festival north of Denver in late August makes telluride look amateurish. 'nuff said..
