A colleague has a portable scanner identified as a Radio Shack Model 30. It is an older unit which he bought used. He has noticed that it cannot be set to frequencies between 136 and 138 MHz. a) Does anyone know if this is normal for this unit and if so, what is the reason for this ommision in coverage? b) Is there a mod to correct this ommision?
