I am looking for a 40 pin ZIF socket that will accept BOTH sizes, 600 mil or 300 mil, of DIPs. I have been told that 3M makes one, but I cannot get it in Canada (3M does not distribute it here). I had located it at FRY's Electronics in Freemont CA, and the people at the order desk were ready to send it in a day. Then some genius in accounting decided that they could not accept a PO from outside the states, and they would not accept a VISA either (don't ask me why). The manager seemed to think that he was at risk because the order was from Canada. Nothing could convince him that if the VISA was authorized, payment was guaranteed. Can anybody suggest a supplier for this part, and who doesn't hire accounting wizards like Fry's??? I also need someone who can send it out quickly, due to time constraints. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
