My sister's got an Pioneer KE-4141 car stero/tape deck that's in need of fixing. So far the only problem we've found is with an inductor in the IF section of the radio which has a broken slug. One would think it'd be a simple matter of replacing the inductor right? Wrong! Pioneer wants > $100 for a whole new front end (am/fm tuner, if, pre-amp section)! (They won't sell the repair shop just the inductor...:-( ) There has to be a better way - so I'm appealing to the net for help. The inductor has the markings on it: 191 E5D1 it has three pins, and is located in the IF section of the tuner. If you know what value this inductor is, or better yet - have one of these critters or have a broken tape deck one could be salvaged from, please let me know! Many thanks in advance. +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Timothy D.
