A friend has an RM02 pack from a now defunct 2.8BSD 11/44 system that he *must* read. The tapes he made before the system was dismantled can't be read. He's looking for an RM0[23] drive on a 2.8BSD system with a tape drive that he can use to make a 'tar' of the pack. He'll settle for an RM0[23] drive on *any* system with a tape drive that will allow him to make an image of the pack on tape. He's already contacted the local DEC field service office to no avail. (Apparently there is a PDP-11 with RM02's somewhere in town, but it runs RT-11 and *everybody* including DEC software support says that an image copy of the pack onto tape is impossible!) If you can help, please contact Dr. Blaine Garfolo (216) 368-3971 (day) or (216) 249-2604 (evening) or decvax!cwruecmp!cdcvax!btg
