Howdy.
Does anyone have any info on how to calculate inductance and such
for a spiral coil. (When I say spiral coil I mean a coil that is wound
like a record; wound in 2 dimensions.)
Or how about going the other way? I'm planning on making such a coil,
and I know what the inductance should be, but I need to know how big
to make it. Things that I know :
- Inductance
- Inside diameter. The coil will not start in the middle, so it
will end up looking more like a flat doughnut.
- Diameter of wire.
Things I need to calculate :
- Length of wire.
- Number of turns (which is easily derived from length of wire).
Is there anything I'm missing?
If possible, please e-mail replies; I don't get a chance to read this
news group very often.
Thanks.
Jon
