[sci.electronics] Pseudo static rams and eprom generator

climber@uvicctr.UVic.CA.UUCP (climber) (02/07/90)

Hi there,

I am looking for some information on the HM658-128 Pseudo-static
ram that I read about in an recent issue of Steve Ciarcia's Circuit
Cellar. The author used them in a project he made. I like to fiddle
with electronics but have this aversion to dynamic rams. This
pseudo-static ram sounds like the memory of my dreams (no pun intended).
Does anyone have any information like price and, most importantly,
how well it operates and how easy is it to use?

Also, I am using my old beater apple II+ for experimenting and am
on the lookout for a EPROM burner (and software, preferably in Apple
CP/M). Anyone have one lying around they are willing to sell off?
If so, send me the price, shipping arrangements and the exact specs
(reliability, what chips it can handle, etc) to address below.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Tanks, eh.
