Hello, I just read of a 12-bt DAC from Analog Devices. Part # AD9712, ECL, 100 million samples per second (MSPS), -67 dBc spurious free dynamic range (SFDR) worst-case. Immediately I thought HDTV. But a better thought is: what could be done in terms of a computer display? I calculate an 1152 x 900 display, with 12-bits per pixel, and say, 71 frames per second. You would then have some extra bandwidth for the sync signals, say 25% worth. Is that right? And I presume video amplifiers to drive the crt deflection yokes might present a difficulty ...? -Myron // mdeale@cosmos.acs.calpoly.edu
