Hi. Can someone help me with making a Centronics parallel to Standard parallel cable? (I have an Amiga with standard DB-25 (?) ports (serial and parallel), and a KXP-1124 printer that uses Centronic parallel, and want to get them to 'shake hands'...) And related to this, is it WORTH wiring your own? Or are such cables available cheaply? Thanks. (please reply even if you think that 'someone must've replied by now')

Actually, Centronics connectors *are* the standard parallel ones. The amazingly stupid idea of using DB25s for parallel ports came from IBM. I know, it's quibbling... -- SVR4: every feature you ever | Henry Spencer at U of Toronto Zoology wanted, and plenty you didn't.| uunet!attcan!utzoo!henry henry@zoo.toronto.edu
