I thought I saw one of these in a catalog a while back, but could never find it again. A small battery powered gadget that receives signals from any IR remote control and then rebroadcasts it. You place it "midway" between you and the receiver, and point its output at the receiver. The idea is this would let you improve the range and operating angle for a remote control. I know there is a similar gadget that attaches directly to a remote to amplify it, but this really doesn't help for receivers that are very directional. There are also repeaters that are meant to be used with tv cable between its receiver and transmitter. I'm looking for a compact self contained unit. Anyone see what I'm looking for? -- Ken Mandelberg | km@mathcs.emory.edu PREFERRED Emory University | {decvax, gatech}!emory!km UUCP Dept of Math and CS | km@emory.bitnet NON-DOMAIN BITNET Atlanta, GA 30322 | Phone: (404) 727-7963
