[sci.electronics] Where can I get heads for a MacIntosh Disk Drive?

al@cs.strath.ac.uk (Alan Lorimer) (02/26/90)

We have a Macintosh 3.5" diskdrive which has lost its heads. The disk
drives are 3.5" sony types, but I can't find anyone who will supply me
with a replacement set of heads (which simply plug into the assembly).

An exchange disk drive costs about #100, but it looks like the heads
should only be #15~#20, so I would rather not but the exchange drive,
since a local repair is so simple.
