Does anyone know what part the NeXT machine uses for its 8-bit voice digitization? It is supposed to be of the type used by the phone company to digitize voive for subsequent transmission. any help appreciated... -- David L. From what I've been seeing... 8-bit digitization is used for ISDN service, but it's really 13(?) bit digitization companded to 8. The military and public phone systems just use 4/6-bit digitization. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kyler Laird I'm the NRA ky@en.ecn.purdue.edu
