[sci.electronics] Help finding slide potentiometers

K02@psuvm.psu.edu (03/03/90)

I need help locating reliable, linear and cheap slide potentiometers.
I need a stroke length of at least 3 inches. I've purchased a couple
for about $2.59, but found them to be quite nonlinear. I'm willing
to buy about 100, if they meet the above criteria.
Are there any plunger potentiometers with this stroke length, and
if so where can I get them?

I received a catalog from All Electronics Corp. today. It has slide pots.
Their phone is (800) 826-5432.

They had 1 1/2", 2 1/2", and 2" slides. Both linear and autio. Cost is $1.50ea.

As for 3", they had none. As mentioned earlier, these components are prone
to picking up dirt and don't last long without becoming scratchy.
