[sci.electronics] HV Capacitors

logajan@ns.network.com (John Logajan) (04/09/90)

I just measured the capacitance of a one gallon glass "cider" jug, covered
with tin (aluminum) foil and filled with water. It came in at .002 uf.
(micro farads.) Quite higher than I expected with my tests of thinner
plastic jugs.

By the way, I am aware that these are in fact Leyden jars.
