[sci.electronics] Prototype using Am29300 series parts

tsai@venus.ral.rpi.edu (Jodi Tsai) (04/11/90)

Dear sci.electronics readers,

We are developing a RISC processor based on the following parts
  from Advanced Micro Devices:

     Am29332 32-bit ALU (120 pin 13x13 grid array package)
Am29334 4-Port Register File (169 pin 17x17 grid array package)
Am2910 Microprogram Controller (40 pin DIP)

Initially we were going to wirewrap the prototype on an Augat
8136-UG1-54TG panel. However, I called up Augat and they told me
that they did not manufacture the 120 pin 13x13 grid array adapter or
the 169 pin 17x17 grid array adapter. These had to be custom made in
quantities of at least 10-20. Unfortunately I don't think I'll have
the money to custom make 10-20 of these adapters. Augat told
me that perhaps someone else may have had these adapters custom made
  and stocked some extras.

Does anyone know of anyone who has these grid array adapters?

Does anyone know of an alternate wirewrap panel we could use
that has the necessary pin grid array adapters available for
the chips we will be using?

  Please reach me via e-mail.

  Thanks!!!!
