Here's a few real easy questions about induction motors. Any input to them wou ld be highly appreciated.... 1) What does the KVA rating on an induction motor mean? Is it the power input to the motor, or the actual power out of the rotor (neglecting friction and win dage)? 2) Given the resistance and inductance values of an equivalent circuit for an i nduction motor, how can one predict the results of the no-load and blocked roto r tests? Do you need the motor's KVA rating and efficiency to do this? How do es slip relate into this? That's all for now. I'm sure they'll be more. I just wish my Power Machinery text was a bit more coherent and intelligible. Tnx. -Ron
