Hi, I am not very experienced with the net, so please be tender to me. I have an Archimedes A310 (British RISC machine) which is able to output 640x480 VGA video. I have a GoldStar VGA monitor as well (which is borrowed, so I don't have any docu with it). Anyway, the A310 has the following video output: 1 Red 2 Green 3 Blue 4 CSYNC 5 NC 6-9 0v Now, the monitor needs separate horizontal and vertical syncs. My friend and I tried to make a cable to connect the A310 to the GoldStar and we got some picture but it is missing the vertical sync. Not a big wonder because we connected the CSYNC only to the horizontal sync. We tried to connect it to the vertical sync input as well, but it does not work. Interestingly, we were able to make a cable for the Commodore 2080 monitor just by connecting to the horizontal sync. I wonder if anyone has some ideas which can help me. I have the same kind of problem, in reverse. I want to use a PGA monitor with a a VGA card. The PGA monitor has only one pin for SYNC, and the VGA card puts out two signals for horizontal and vertical. Clarence Wilkerson
