[sci.electronics] Plated through holes

ron@hcr.com (Ron Irvine) (06/02/90)

I designed and built a 2 sided board without plated through
holes. The board was produced with standard holes
drilled for all through board connections. IC's were soldered
to the top and bottom (creating a though board connection).
The through holes for traces were connected with some wire
solder top and bottom. The trick was that I used a special
wire cutter that would cut and crimp the wire. This kept the
little peices of wire in each whole from falling out until they
were soldered. It worked great.
