One of our students here is looking at some heap management problems
for a MS thesis. We are running the heap in a very unusual environment
which includes multiple processes accessing the heap and requesting and
releasing large chains of space in a highly dynamic manner. However,
he hasn't been able to find a great deal of relevent research on heap
management. Can anybody provide me with some pointers for him about
articles, books, or tech reports discussing anything related to heap
management?
