I believe that 400 series Dataset(tm) equipment uses DTMF signalling. This means that a 40x Dataset or compatible modem will accept Touch-Tone(tm) signals. I believe one of these is specifically designed for tone-in/voice-out applications, and has an audio input from the terminal equipment. Does anyone know where I can buy a simple cheap DTMF to serial ASCII receiver/converter. I want something that I can just plug into the telephone line and have it answer and pass codes to the computer.
