[sci.electronics] Radio Electronics Magazine's projects

whos@ddsw1.MCS.COM (Ben Feen) (07/05/90)

I have a magazine which tells how to make HV projects. Unfortunatly,
every single one requires a flyback or an ignition coil. So:
Where can I get automotive ignition coils?
Where can I buy flyback transformers?

(All I want are catalog names, and companies in the Chicago area -- nothing
really in-depth.)

I asked YOU who's at DDSW1! Ok, there's a guy at DDSW1, right? | Right!
Who? | Exactly! | What? | No, he's at lll-winken. | Where? | No, What! | I

I think you can find the ignition coil in a junk yard in your
area, and take along ohm meter to check that the coil is good by placing
  it across poles.

Can you tell us some more about the project ?
