[sci.electronics] 68HC11 suppliers

atschnei@vlsi.waterloo.edu (Todd Schneider) (07/10/90)

Does anyone know where 68HC11's and support peripherals can be purchased
in single quantities.

Specifically, I'm looking for the following:

	MC68HC11A8FN1	-	68HC11 /w BUFFALO ROM (quad pack)
	MC68HC811A2FN	-	68HC11 /w 2k EEPROM (quad pack)
	MC68HC811A8FN	-	68HC11 /w 8.5k EEPROM (quad pack)
MC68HC24FN	-	68HC11 Port Replacement Unit (quad pack)

Ideally, I'd prefer a distributor with a small minimum order and an
800 number so I can order by phone on a credit card. If you can
include any information on pricing, it would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Todd Schneider

I have always had problems getting these parts. The MC68HC811E2FN
(which is the replacement to the A2) was the last part I ordered.
It was ordered through Hamilton Avnet in FEBUARY and was supposed to
be delivered in June but I am still waiting.
If you dont need the PLCC version and can make do with the DIL package
(although you loose 4 of the A to D converters) you will have a better
time. I got some through a local distributor, Denelex with out any grief.
