Here's one that may make some heads^H^H^H^H meters spin...

You have your new microCray installed at home. It draws 30 amps @ 120
volts. But wait...you can change the taps so it draws 15 A @ 240.

If all other things are equal, are you better off IN TERMS OF
THE ELECTRICITY COST to use the 120 or the 240? Why?

Note that for this discussion, we can ignore the double I^2*R
loss at the low voltage and other such things. The focus is on
how the meter looks at loads.

I know Larry will have the answer, but as the teacher said
"let's not always see the same hands, class" ;_}
