[sci.electronics] barometric pressure sensor

Nandu@cup.portal.com (Narendra J Kulkarni) (08/08/90)

Sensym in Santa Clara ( area code 408 ) makes different kind of pressure
sensors, get their data book, they also have application notes on building
digital barometers

Try also OMEGA 1-800-222-2665 and ask for their PRESSURE STRAIN AND FORCE
catalog.

Model PX 136-015A V is a small (.6"square) absolute pressure sensor with
excellent performance. Output is linear: 0 to 100mv for 0-15psi. $56

Model PX 142-015A 5V is larger (1.2"x2.4"), and senses absolute pressure
from 0-15psi as well. Its output is linear from 1 to 6V. $94

There are many, many more nifty pressure sensing devices of all sorts in
the catalog. I mentioned these only because they are relatively inexpensive
and detect absolute pressure, and because I already had the pages marked
because I was gonna use one, too!
