A couple of weeks ago I asked for info related to sources of VME bus parts. I got a limited response so I guess there isn't much interest in VME in this newsgroup. From the few responses that I did get it appears that the best places to look are in local electronics distributors. Another possibility is to get your hands on an electronics trade magazine and look for VME advertisements. I would imagine that you will pay premium prices for products that are geared toward production operations so it may be true that VME is unfriendly towards hackers.
