Any version of DOS since version 2.x (I've never have the fortune to use DOS 1.x :-)), will not ask you the two time/date questions if you have an AUTOEXEC.BAT file on your boot disk. If you don't already have one, boot your PC, type "COPY CON AUTOEXEC.BAT", then hit a return, a control-Z, and another return. Now, it is there. This will prevent the asking of the questions, but it does not actually set the PC clock. Now if you have a PC (8088) instead of an AT (286) type of machine, then you'll need to run a program that loads the PC timer from the real time clock which is probably sitting on an expansion card. This program is different for different card, so ....... For an AT, it is automatically loaded when the machine fires up. Hope that helps. Regards, ## Life is fast enough as it is ........
