Problem: I'm trying to build a low power (<1 mW), simple, cheap transceiver at 2.5 Ghz.Taking a crystal oscillator and multiplying up seems like excessive hard work when compared to the simplicity of the rest of the system, however I cannot think of an alternative source that will be stable enough to allow demodulation to an IF in the low MHz. Does anyone know of an alternate method? Are there any MMIC's which do this? I'm probably asking the impossible, but any help is good help. Thanks. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Andrew Peel. University of Melbourne, apeel@munmurra.cs.mu.OZ.AU Computer Science Dept. Ph.
