[sci.electronics] Silver TV Screen

hbg6@citek.mcdphx.mot.com (10/11/90)

I just got work from Sony that the replacement screen for my projection TV
costs $900.00! Suddenly I have become more motivated to find an alternative
material, or a method to repair what I have.

So, once again:
Does anyone out there know 1) what these things are made of, 2) can scratches
in the surface be repaired, and 3) is there any other material which work
as a substitute?

Thanks,
John

Someday my sysadm will decide this is a 'real' problem. :-)
