[sci.electronics] Halogen Flashlight Bulbs

Osram halogen bulbs (sold by Eveready) are now commonly available
as direct replacements for the flange-base PR- series of flashlight
bulbs.

What about the screw-base lamps with pre-focus lenses, such as the
2.5V type 222 that is used in 2-cell penlights? Has anyone seen a
Krypton or halogen-filled replacement for these? Do you know of a
source?
