Does anyone know how to build...or where to get.. an ISA bus extender card (ie, so you can run the bus across a cable lash-up into another chassis) that will support bus-masters on the expansion chassis ?? I've been looking at how to build one but I'm not completely sure how to deal with the external bus-masters and switching transceivers around. Any ideas? Thanks. My "Industrial Computer Source" catalog lists an 8 bit expansion case interface kit for $425 and a 16 bit model for $495. They include two cards and an interconnect cable. I have no idea what it does though. The photo shows an eight bit model which has a few chips on each of the boards. The manufacturing costs of the entire set cannot be higher than $100 bucks (assuming they have crooked contractors build and assemble the boards), so in my humble judgement, it is not worth the money--I'd try a twisted pair direct connection first. (After all, an ISA bus has only an 8MHz clock.) If you work for a deep pocket, though, you might want to contact them: Industrial Computer Source 4837 Mercury Street San Diego, CA 92111 (619) 279-0084 FAX (619) 541-1138 Later, dEN
